Three processes, one facility

Strip it, prep it, coat it — all under one roof.

Most coating failures aren't the coating's fault — they're a preparation problem. So we keep every stage in-house: chemical stripping, media blasting and powder coating. Nothing gets subcontracted and nothing gets handed off, which means we own the result from bare metal to finished part.

Chemical Stripping

Old coating off, metal untouched.

When blasting is the wrong answer — thin sheet, delicate castings, pot metal, or a part packed with years of powder and paint — we strip it chemically instead. No abrasive, no heat, no distortion, and no peened surface to undo afterwards. We use it most on classic panels, cast aluminium, and anything where a blaster would risk rounding off detail or warping a flat.

  • Multi-coat powder, paint and primer removal
  • No panel distortion — no risk of heat or impact warp
  • Safe on castings, pot metal and thin sheet
  • Saves detail that abrasive blasting would round over

Sandblasting & Media Blasting

Bare metal with a tooth the powder can grip.

This is where most coating jobs are won or lost. Rust, mill scale, old paint and grease all come off down to a clean, uniformly profiled surface — and profile is the whole point. Too smooth and the powder has nothing to bite into; too coarse and you see the texture through the finish. We match the abrasive and the pressure to the substrate, so thin panels don't warp and heavy steel still gets a proper anchor tooth.

  • Rust, scale, paint and grease removed to bare metal
  • Blast profile matched to the coating being applied
  • Abrasive and pressure matched to substrate thickness
  • No size limit on blasting — large items welcome

Powder Coating

A hard shell, baked on.

Powder is sprayed electrostatically so it clings to the metal, then cured in the oven until it cross-links into a continuous shell. No solvent, no runs, no drips — just an even film that takes knocks, resists chipping and holds its colour under UV far better than wet paint. Gloss, satin, matte, textured, wrinkle, metallic, candy and clear — and we can match a paint code or a sample panel.

  • 6,000+ Prismatic Powders colours available to order
  • Gloss, satin, matte, textured & wrinkle finishes
  • Colour matched to a paint code, sample or photo
  • Oven capacity: 72″ tall × 45″ deep × 45″ wide

Choosing between them

Not sure which process you need?

Most people aren’t — that’s our job, not yours. But here’s the short version of how we decide.

Chemical strippingRemoves: Yes — no abrasiveFinish: NoBest for: Thin sheet, castings and delicate parts where blast damage is a risk.
Media blastingRemoves: Yes — to bare metalFinish: No — prepares the surfaceBest for: Rust, scale and old coatings on anything that needs a profile.
Powder coatingRemoves: NoFinish: Yes — 6,000+ coloursBest for: Everyday toughness and colour on parts up to our oven size.

Most jobs combine two or three of these. Text us photos and we’ll tell you which — free, and no obligation.

Tell us what you’ve got. We’ll tell you what it needs.

Send a photo and rough dimensions and we’ll come back with a fixed price and the process we’d use — usually within one business day.
